Breaking a leg

It’s been a little while since I have been here as the last few weeks have been a haze of mad activity

I have been in the midst of preparing for my forthcoming leg surgery which is actually to take place tomorrow.

Some of you already know I had a couple of accidents and broke my leg twice. Well, due to complications I need further surgery if I am to resume hill walking which is something I really love to do and who can blame me when we have views like this.

This picture shows the view from the Green Road in County Clare – overlooking the beaches and bays of the west coast of Ireland.

view-over-Ireland's-wild-atlantic-wayI have been putting the surgery off to be honest as I hate the idea of being demobilized for another period of time and all the hassle that involves but I at last decided just to go for it and get it over with. I reason that the quicker I get it done the quicker I will be up in the hills of Clare again.

So as always with these things, tomorrow came much faster than I thought and as usual I only managed to get half the things done that I planned.

To be fair to myself I think it is more to do with my over ambitious to do lists. Even though I know better I did let myself get slightly carried away and underestimated the time I would need to complete all my projects, but still, that’s the fun of life – you never know what’s around the corner.

So, I will be back as soon as I can and in the meantime I wish all the very best of luck with your writing.

Take care

Grace
