Writing Competitions are a fantastic way to improve and test your skills and help stop procrastination.
One of the reasons we procrastinate is because we don’t have firm deadlines to meet.
But, by aiming to finish our story in time to meet a competition deadline we place pressure on ourselves.
This pressure means we have no choice but to get on with the work.
There is also the chance that you could win some cash.
Don’t forget that by winning or being shortlisted in a reputable writing competition you could gain a valuable addition to your writing C.V.
I will be adding competitions here as I learn about them so bookmark this page for future reference.
If you know of any other competitions that I can include please let me know and I will be happy to add the details.
Best of luck with your writing and your competition entries.
Grace
P.S. If you don’t know where to start my book Practical Creative Writing Exercises will get you started in minutes.
You won’t be able to stop writing because these beautiful and inspiring exercises will banish your writing block right now.
